AD Ports Group is hiring a Specialist - Communication in Abu Dhabi to lead external PR and corporate communications for the Business Unit, translating strategies into integrated annual plans, media campaigns and high quality content while steering the approvals process and managing media relations. The ideal candidate is fluent in Arabic and English and brings 6 to 8 years in PR or communications, a degree in PR, journalism or related field, and strong knowledge of the maritime sector and UAE media. Expect to source stories, craft press releases, interviews and digital content, coordinate spokespeople and track KPIs. Proactively develop and implement external PR and corporate communication plans for campaigns and projects for the Business Unit to meet business objectives and further build brand awareness.
Assess needs, create, oversee and execute written material in relation to corporate communications for the Business Unit
Core Responsibilities:
Champion all external communications activities for the Business Unit and its businesses, and translate their strategies into integrated annual plans, media campaigns and tactical deliverables intended to achieve agreed-upon KPIs.
Sourcing stories and proactively arranging meetings to develop news and editorial materials, managing the approval process smoothly and effectively. Getting vital project and business information from the Business Units and relevant technical departments
Content generation - Create press releases, interviews, speeches, Q&A’s, digital content etc and be accountable for the accuracy and quality of all content generated for external/internal communications, social media and marketing, including videos, websites and brochures.
Define and oversee the delivery of annual plans, campaigns and media relations activities, working closely with the communications and marketing managers
To take a lead role in the development and implementation of communications plans and key messaging for the Business Unit
Serve as the key point of contact for Business Units and their relevant spokespeople managing public engagements, media activities and other relevant promotional opportunities
Understand objectives and ensure communication reflects the organisation’s strategic vision
Ensure the quality and consistency of all written and visual materials produced, including but not limited to press releases, fact sheets, written interviews, messaging documents, video and website content.
To manage the approvals process between the PR/Corporate Communications team, any third-party contacts and senior management within the approval chain
Manage/update and track figures/fact sheets
Maintain tracking, archiving and reporting of all communications activities responsible for
Develop a keen understanding of the Business Unit business and AD Ports Group
Maintain a good knowledge of the media relevant to the business and contribute to maintaining an updated database of key media representatives
Perform any other related duties as assigned by his/ her direct Manager or Director

Technical Competencies
Exceptional Arabic writing skills and grasp of English language
Good knowledge of the maritime sector and maritime sustainability and a willingness to learn about the Business Unit.

PR Experience in a B2B and B2C environment and continuously updated with industry news would be preferred
Work experience in a range of different settings – majority to be media relations focused
Good familiarity with UAE & International Media
