An on site full time Dermatology Specialist role at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi focusing on outpatient consultations, inpatient dermatology care with admission privileges, and on call. The position involves procedures including phototherapy, lasers, skin biopsies, cryosurgery, chemical peels, curettage and excisions, and clinic planning. Requirements include a medical degree with internship, a three-year dermatology residency with a postgraduate Masters or DOH approved fellowship, a valid DOH license, and at least three years of exclusive dermatology practice since certification. English required, basic medical Arabic desirable, strong ethics knowledge. To provide specialized services to patients for the diagnosis and management of Skin and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

1. The Dermatologist’s responsibility is mainly in the outpatient department providing Consultation services to patients with skin diseases in the Clinic. 

1. He also provides consultation service to the inpatient services and has admission privileges to admit patients with skin diseases requiring inpatient care.

1. To perform the professional duties of a Dermatologist:

1. To perform his duties in the Dermatology outpatient Clinic evaluating patients with skin diseases on a daily basis.

1.  Provides consultation service to inpatients in dermatology. 
2. Admit to the hospital patients with skin diseases requiring inpatient services and assume their care.

1. Provides on-call emergency coverage for dermatologic emergencies.

1. Performs the dermatologic procedures which includes, but not limited to; photo therapy, cosmetic procedures, laser therapy, skin biopsy, cryosurgery, electrocautery, chemical peeling, curettage, excision etc.

1.  Plans and maintains daily work schedules necessary for required performance of all Department functions, including leaves of absence, vacations, holiday and weekend schedules, and emergency on-call schedules after working hours.

1. Participates in Committees as needed.

1. Participates in the monthly hospital meetings.

1. Graduation from an approved medical school plus internship.

1. Three years residency in Dermatology culminating in procuring a Post Graduate Masters degree and/or equivalent Fellowships approved by DOH.

1. Must have DOH License to practice.

1. Three or more year’s exclusive practice of Dermatology since certification.

1. English is required to prepare documentation and it is used as the common language to communicate with different nationalities. Basic knowledge of medical Arabic desirable.

1. Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics.
