Specialist in Family Medicine at NMC Healthcare is a full time onsite role in Abu Dhabi requiring an active DOH license in Family Medicine and a current privilege renewable every two years, plus MBBS or MBChB, five years post qualification experience, and Medical Board approval from the home country. The physician will apply scientific knowledge to diagnose and manage adults across health to complex illness, advise on prevention, monitor progress, and coordinate care with nurses and specialists. Leadership, teamwork, and accurate documentation are essential, including long term chronic disease management and appropriate referrals. •    The physician will maintain at all times an active DOH License consistent with specialty practiced at Bareen International Hospital.
•    Physician will maintain an active Privilege per the specialty that is consistent with the scope of services and the required experiences to practice it, which is renewable every 2 years.
•    Apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness.
•    Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
•    Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient.
•    Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
•    Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations where the diagnosis may be obscure.
•    Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
•    Manage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza and pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, in adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
•    Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
•    Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
•    Provide and manage long-term, comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases, for adult patients in an office or hospital.
•    Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.
•    Treat internal disorders, such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and problems of the lung, brain, kidney, and gastrointestinal tract.
•    Advise surgeon of a patient's risk status and recommend appropriate intervention to minimize risk.
•    Conduct research to develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent or control disease or injury.
•    Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
•    Provide consulting services to other doctors caring for patients with special or difficult problems.
•    Plan, implement, or administer health programs in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention and treatment of injuries or illnesses.

•    Education: MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification form an accredited institution.
•    Completion of specialty qualification as per the recognized Specialty Certificate.
•    5 years’ experience post qualification
•    Medical Board issued by the home country medical council.
•    Licensed as a Specialist Family Medicine by Department of Health (DOH)
