The successful candidate will be a legally qualified medical practitioner registered with AHPRA without conditions, a Fellow of the relevant college, and able to demonstrate strong Anatomical Pathology experience with Bayside Health credentialing. Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills, plus the ability to collaborate across teams, are essential; neuromuscular and molecular pathology expertise is desirable. About the Department
The main laboratory of the Anatomical Pathology Unit is located at The Alfred campus with a significant anatomical pathology laboratory located at the new Footscray Hospital. The Unit comprises 6 diagnostic sections; Histopathology, Cytopathology, Special Histopathology (In situ Hybridisation, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry & Autoantibody Serology), Neuromuscular laboratory, Mortuary and solid tumour molecular pathology. A broad range of diagnostic histology and non-gynaecological cytology specimens are processed by the Unit and incorporate the work of Alfred and Western Health.
