As our Subcontractor Compliance Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring subcontractors meet FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and EAR requirements while spotting risks, improving processes, and keeping major programs running smoothly. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, guide compliance efforts, train teams, and turn complex rules into clear, workable solutions, all while making sure nothing important slips through the cracks. As the Subcontractor Compliance Specialist, here’s the impactful work you’ll do:

  • Ensure subcontractor assessments are managed appropriately including validation of compliance to established procedures and regulations. Conduct subcontractor compliance reviews and report on risks and recommendations.
  • Support compliance activities associated with all subcontractor requirements, including sub-contractor wage and job reporting and other special projects as required.
  • Develop policies and procedures as well as monitor existing subcontractor processes ensuring compliance with government regulations, primer contract requirements, and support industry's best practices.
  • Identify gaps in practices and procedures and pursue improvement solutions directly or indirectly through collaboration with other program stakeholders.
  • Provide subcontractor compliance support and guidance to program stakeholders. Assist in training on compliance system policies and procedures, and government regulations/prime contractor requirements.
  • Responsible for monitoring external subcontract compliance with external regulations to include the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Responsibilities will also include overseeing the resolution of sub-contractor non-compliance risks.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Experience with customer flow down requirements, including experience with FAR and DFARS flow downs as a subcontractor.
  • Knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and SAP.
  • Contract knowledge and experience in previous sub-contractor compliance roles.
  • Experience supporting major construction or industrial modernization programs is highly preferred.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • BA Degree in business, contract management, legal supplies or supply chain or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Master’s degree in business, contract management, legal studies or supply chain preferred.
  • 4 + years of experience of Department of Defense contracts management experience to include demonstrated experience in (FAR) and (DFARS) and mandatory flow down clauses, procurement of integrity requirements, contract formation and subcontract administration, supplier relationship management, project management as well as subcontractor risk management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance may be required.
  • Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant drivers license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant. 
  • Successful completion of background screening process.

In compliance with this states pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $76,640 - $114,960. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
