The Technical Sales Specialist will provide technical sales and applications coverage and support for all accounts across relevant territory for scientific instrumentation products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will be the subject matter expert and can understand and communicate technical knowledge with the customer and other stakeholders
  • Develop strong customer relationships with all customers across all industries
  • Implement sales plans to achieve sales targets for assigned portfolio
  • Execute sales activities for assigned portfolio, in support of the Product Marketing plan
  • Record opportunities and relevant sales data in appropriate customer relationship management databases (SFDC)
  • Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery and commercial terms, in accordance with company policies
  • Provide technical sales support via presentations, project planning and customer management
  • Support continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc
  • Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers
  • Own the performance & representation of DKSH Scientific Instrumentation suppliers in your territory
  • Manage and support Instrument Sales Specialist leads for your territory and ensure follow-up to ensure progress through the sales pipeline
  • Identify product gaps and improvement opportunities based on lost sales data, customer feedback, etc

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in science or experience in related field
  • Two years' experience in a similar role or scientific space looking to gain experience in sales
  • Possess strong knowledge and understanding of the laboratory product portfolio across multiple disciplines
  • Proficient in MS Office productivity tools (e.g Sales Force, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate account management and relationship building skills
  • Basic research and analytical skills
  • Be results oriented and passionate about developing your customer base
