This job is a member of the Co-Brand Team within the Partnerships organization responsible for leading strategy and end-to-end general management of a portfolio of international credit card products.  This senior leader needs to be particularly versatile – having experience with partnership management in a global context, business development, contract negotiation, loyalty strategy, financial modeling and forecasting, program management, digital marketing, and database marketing strategies.

What you'll do

  • Lead a team responsible for delivering cobrand revenue growth by managing all commercial aspects of current and future cobrand partnership planning and strategy around the world
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to drive value to the company through cobrand, airline and non-airline partnerships 
  • Manage a diverse group of portfolios and partners, including contract negotiations and multi-country initiatives to drive growth from cardholder acquisitions and existing card members
  • Develop and implement strategies to address changes in industry dynamics, marketplace competition, customer preferences, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Legal, Loyalty, Digital Strategy, Marketing, Revenue Analysis, Premium Services, International Operations, Sales, Payments, etc.
  • Lead multi-county cobrand portfolio strategy by leveraging insights from customer segmentation, customer research and internal/ external portfolio transaction data
  • Grow the overall co-brand portfolio by leveraging data insights from American and its co-brand partners around the world
  • Develop and implements strategies to address marketplace competition and changes in customer preferences 
  • Must be willing to travel for business internationally and comfortable operating in multi-cultural environments

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
  • 7 years of work experience
  • Experience in partnership management, business development, contract negotiation, loyalty strategy, financial modeling and forecasting, program management, digital marketing, brand management, advertising and/or database marketing

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's degree
  • 3 years’ experience directly or indirectly leading teams with experience in related airline or loyalty currency partnership role
  • Fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese speaker a plus
