Builtfirst is a perks and promotions marketplace, offering an easy entry into the world of online marketplaces. The Partner Manager role sits at the intersection of Builtfirst operations, partnerships, and marketplace success.

 About You

You will help our partners succeed in our ecosystem by moving them through the vendor lifecycle while ensuring our catalog remains high-quality, current, and valuable for our marketplace customers and their end customers.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working cross-functionally, and excited about building and scaling an ecosystem.

What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact

Partner Onboarding & Lifecycle Management

  • Discover new partner/deal categories to onboarding into the ecosystem.
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new partners into Builtfirst.
  • Maintain accurate partner status classification.
  • Develop and manage processes to graduate partners from Basic → Preferred → Pro.
  • Ensure listings, deals, and metadata remain accurate and up to date.

Catalog & Partner Quality

  • Maintain a high-quality Builtfirst Catalog that marketplace admins trust.
  • Enforce Preferred Partner SLAs and follow up on content, responsiveness, and discount requests.
  • Identify emerging partner or high-brand-awareness players to proactively add as Preferred partners.
  • Develop and launch new categories within the catalog.

Strategic Partner Management

  • Manage high-priority relationships and strategic partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and strategic partner requests.
  • Support customer and marketplace admin asks related to onboarded vendors.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key vendors, including:
    • Partner objectives and success plans
    • Key stakeholders
    • Milestones, risks, and performance metrics

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other AppDirect Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Marketplace Ops teams.
  • Provide partner insights to inform product roadmap, analytics, and monetization strategies.

What we’re looking for

  • 4–7+ years of experience in vendor management, partnerships, ecosystem roles, or marketplace operations.
  • Experience managing B2B SaaS vendors, marketplaces, or partner ecosystems.
  • Strong organizational and process-building skills.
  • Comfortable managing both long-tail partners at scale and high-touch strategic partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking performance metrics and SLAs.
  • Able to work hours that align with Eastern Time Zone. 

Yearly salary range for remote candidates in Canada: $80,000 - $135,000 CAD
