Your Role:

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Quality Control (QC) Associate Scientist to join our laboratory team. This role is responsible for executing microbiology testing and rapid detection methods to ensure all products meet rigorous food and beverage safety standards. The successful candidate will perform routine assays, validate results, and maintain compliance with established protocols.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct comprehensive release testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods following established microbiology and rapid detection protocols.
  • Prepare high-quality reagents, solutions, and controls essential for accurate laboratory assays and standardized testing.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain rigorous records in full alignment with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure data traceability and accuracy.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify emerging trends, anticipate potential quality shifts, and proactively address manufacturing issues.
  • Analyze test data to identify Out of Specification (OOS) results, ensure timely reporting and supporting root-cause investigations.
  • Guarantee strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal quality control principles to maintain product safety and certification.
  • Partner with QA teams and laboratory staff to uphold safety regulations and drive continuous improvement in overall product quality.

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:                                                                                            

  • Associate’s Degree in a Scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.)

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience within a life science lab.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Basic chemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology laboratory knowledge and skills, and/or the ability to learn those skills.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Pay Range for this position: $23.00- $37.00 per hour.  ​
  • The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
