Accruit at Tempur Sealy International is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (Hybrid) to own the full software development life cycle from concept to deployment, blending front end and back end skills with a strong DevOps focus. The ideal candidate will design and ship enterprise apps and APIs using Angular, TypeScript, NodeJS and RESTful services, guided by architectural patterns, cloud foundations and observability. You will mentor teammates, contribute to engineering standards, and partner with product and design while prioritizing security, performance, scalability and developer experience. This role is Denver hybrid, within a 90 minute radius, in office one day per week with some overtime and travel.

Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. Sr. Software Engineer will have relevant experience with both front-end and back-end coding languages, software development architecture and design patterns, development frameworks and third- party libraries. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in DevOps and automation coupled with excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into scalable and efficient solutions. This individual must be creative, collaborative, organized, and adaptable

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide technical guidance and support to team members by assisting with implementation decisions, helping to resolve blockers, and contributing to technical discussions as needed.

· Design, develop, and test applications (e.g. API, Web apps) in accordance with established standards.

· Work closely with design and product teams to ship delightful, engaging products using Angular, TypeScript, NodeJS, and RESTful API as well as other related technologies.

· Mentor and coach team members through code reviews, pair programming sessions, thorough documentation, and technical guidance.

· Contribute to and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

· Foster an environment where different backgrounds, cultures, industry and life experiences are embraced and valued.

· Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.

· Collaborate with other software developers, product managers, and software architects to plan, design, and build software.

· Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when designing and delivering solutions.

· Work in an Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that result in enhanced developer experience and increased developer productivity.

· Champion technical excellency by staying abreast of emerging technologies, reviewing architectural decisions, and driving continuous improvement.

· Troubleshoot and debug issues and bugs in applications and guide team members in root cause analysis and resolution.

· Create design diagrams and other technical documentation

Education & Experience:

· 5+ years of experience in software or solution architecture roles, with a focus on designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level solutions using cloud platform

· Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural frameworks. Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery patterns, Cloud foundational patterns, Observability patterns, Developer experience patterns.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

· Expertise in delivering secure, high performance, fault tolerant, and high availability solutions

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to engineers of varying experience levels.

Other Requirements:

· Infrequent travel (10%)

· Ability to occasionally work overtime or after hours

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Must reside within 90-min radius of Accruit office in Denver and be available in office 1 day a week.
