Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with software development in Java and experience in scripting languages like Python.
  • Experience in building, deploying, and maintaining production software and infrastructure.
  • Experience in Data Engineering and analytics systems and services with working knowledge of Kakfa, Redis and Cloud data platforms like Azure, AWS, Google .
  • Experience  in building high performance data analytics services. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn about surrounding systems and services and to come up with the best design possible.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to fostering an agile culture.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical strategy and make sound architectural decisions.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical leadership to the team to deliver impactful milestones for product deliveries. 
  • Develop and uphold a high standard of software engineering to provide the highest standard of reliability and availability.
  • Innovate and experiment with various techniques to improve the system both in performance and functionalities.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of major software deliverables.
  • Protectively look into the cross functional dependencies and provide solutions. 
  • Implement and promote engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Define and implement engineering productivity best practices for test, automation, CI/CD and service debug-ability  and telemetry.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
