About the role

We are looking for a Staff Fullstack Software Engineer to play a key role in the design and implementation of our Cyberdigital white-labeled platform.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll be in the middle of it all, acting as a leader and force multiplier – you’ll work with stakeholders to implement functionality, architect our systems, squash bugs, and continually grow as an engineer. The ideal candidate is both forward-thinking and hands-on, has a strong sense of ownership and drive for delivery, and is a good mentor and co-worker. 

You will be responsible for collaborating with engineering leaders on the architecture direction and making sure you are supporting the team in adopting standards  and ensuring that user-facing platforms are robust, maintainable and secure. You will work closely with product management, UX, backend architects, and delivery teams to translate business and user needs into elegant technical solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Full development life-cycle design from project requirement to deployment.
  • Work on automation and improvement of data exchanges and data pipelines between internal and external teams.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, deliverables, and goals.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Track project performance against defined milestones/goals.
  • Conduct process improvement projects to increase performance in vital program metrics.
  • Communicate ongoing project health with key stakeholders and business leadership.
  • Maintain strict compliance with established project management policies and guidelines.
  • Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Make significant contributions to the code base.
  • Define best practices and uphold coding standards.
  • Consistently demonstrate extremely high levels of technical knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity. Develop and apply advanced technologies, engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Broad knowledge about the design and operation of systems outside of specialty.
  • Work within the Engineering team to develop features that specifically benefit our users.
  • Must be able to deliver high-quality code on schedule and communicate with groups in and outside the development team.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science Degree, or equivalent from a fully-accredited college or university.
  • 6+ years of Java programming experience.
  • Our core stack is Java/React, and we run on Kubernetes in a microservices architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience working in full stack, multi-channel products
  • A proven understanding of web standards,performance, best practices, security and browser internals.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others, and get stuff done.
  • Solid sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion.
  • Proven experience in production operations and support.
  • Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews, and managing pull requests.
  • Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Technology requirements

  • Experience with ReactJS 
  • Experience with Java and NodeJS
  • Solid understanding of web technologies and standards:
    • Security best practices (XSS, CSRF, auth flows, secure storage, etc.)
    • API integration (REST, GraphQL)
    • JavaScript / TypeScript
    • HTML5, CSS3, responsive design
    • Modern build and tooling ecosystems (Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn/pnpm, etc.) 
    • Mobile native/hybrid development (ReactNative, Cordova, Swift, Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform)
