TE Connectivity is seeking a Staff Manufacturing and Process Development Engineer for an on site role in Speyer focusing on cleaning and joining technologies. With 7–10 years of experience and a Masters or MBA, you will own the development of complex processes aligned to Manufacturing Readiness Level, drive KPI improvements, and coordinate activities across Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Product Engineering and external partners. Ideal candidates bring a mechanical or materials science background (PhD or extensive hands on experience preferred), practical experience with bonding and cleaning systems, and the ability to apply basic data analysis. Your main tasks:
- TE-wide point of contact for cleaning and joining processes
- Independent process development of complex processes with a focus on the Manufacturing Readiness Level to improve process KPIs (e.g., process stability)
- Basic understanding of data analysis and machine learning
- Coordination of activities and timelines between Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Product Engineering, and other TE departments, as well as with external tool manufacturers, suppliers, and integrators
- Supporting production teams with complex challenges in the areas of cleaning and joining technologies
- Identifying suitable business partners and building a network of internal and external experts, institutions, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Defining basic requirements to standardize new and innovative machinery and manufacturing technologies
- Conducting market studies to identify new processing techniques and optimization potentials, as well as contributing to the creation of roadmaps
- Developing ideas and implementing new innovations and concepts for future market needs
- Sharing acquired knowledge and experience and deriving further best practices / Bills of Processes (process- and product-related) within TE

Your ideal profile:
- University degree in mechanical engineering or materials science, ideally with a doctorate or many years of practical experience in technically relevant fields
- Technical understanding of bonding and cleaning technology
- Practical experience in the design of industrial cleaning systems and bonding processes
- Committed to identifying and implementing continuous improvements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hands-on mentality and results-oriented approach to work
- Organizational skills and strong communication skills
- Open to new ideas and innovative
- Fluency in German and English is required
- Willingness to travel (approx. 25% - 50%) to provide on-site support at production facilities if necessary
