Ripple is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help build the next generation of crypto custody for banks, delivering secure, scalable backend systems and actively shaping architecture in a Geneva onsite setting. You’ll lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise crypto custody apps, mentor teammates, and raise engineering standards across architecture, testing and deployment. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in hands-on, large scale distributed backend development, with the last 5+ years in Java with Spring or Rust or Scala, and at least 4 years in a tech lead role; experience in transactional payments or banking systems backed by an RDBMS; cloud experience on AWS or Azure, plus Docker and Kubernetes; strong Agile practices and a security first mindset.
