WSP is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engineer to support the successful delivery of infrastructure and development projects across Dubai. The role requires strong technical awareness combined with in‑depth knowledge of Dubai’s stakeholder landscape, approval processes, and regulatory requirements.
The Stakeholder Engineer will act as the key interface between WSP’s project teams and external authorities, developers, and utility providers to ensure timely stakeholder engagement, approvals, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement stakeholder management strategies for Dubai‑based projects in alignment with project objectives and client requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact between WSP project teams and relevant Dubai authorities, utilities, and master developers
- Manage stakeholder engagement across all project phases, including concept, design, approvals, construction, and handover
- Coordinate and secure approvals, NOCs, permits, and technical clearances from relevant authorities
- Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and technical coordination sessions, documenting actions and tracking resolutions
- Identify stakeholder risks, constraints, and dependencies, and proactively develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure stakeholder requirements are clearly captured, communicated, and incorporated into design and delivery outputs
- Maintain stakeholder registers, approval trackers, and correspondence logs
- Provide regular reporting to project managers and senior leadership on stakeholder status, risks, and progress
- Support claims avoidance by ensuring alignment with authority requirements and timely stakeholder sign‑off
- Represent WSP professionally in all stakeholder interactions, reinforcing WSP’s reputation and values
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Infrastructure, Transportation, or related discipline)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated exposure to Dubai based projects
- Proven experience managing stakeholder engagement and approval processes within Dubai
- Strong understanding of local authority standards, guidelines, and submission procedures
- Experience working within multidisciplinary consultancy or contractor environments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management or tracking tools is an advantage
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are also highly sought
