ENGIE is hiring a Start up and Commissioning Engineer II to lead the transition of Battery Energy Storage System projects from construction to safe, stable operation. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team, develop and execute a commissioning plan, review permits and QA/QC data, and drive closeout and continuous improvement with EPCs, vendors, and operations. Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least two years in solar or renewables, and commissioning exposure; you should be fluent in SCADA/EMS and common construction software, and comfortable with 30 percent travel and hybrid work. What You Can Expect
The Start up and Commissioning Engineer II is part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering all aspects of facility start-up, commissioning, testing, and handover to operations for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The Engineer interacts with, oversees, and provides directions to a multidisciplinary team made up of ENGIE personnel, Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) Contractor personnel, Major Equipment Vendor Technical Field Advisors, Consulting Engineers, and other specialist resources in accordance with all applicable contracts, permits, and other project requirements. This position can sit in Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Bay Area, CA reporting to the Commissioning Director of ENGIE FlexGen NorAm—BroadView.

Salary Range: $65,520 – $100,222 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
