Static and Package Equipment Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all static equipment engineering activities during FEED, EPC, and detailed engineering phases of the project.
- Provide technical leadership for the design, specification, and procurement of static equipment, including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors, and package equipment.
- Develop and review equipment datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and applicable international codes and standards such as ASME, API, TEMA, and ASTM.
- Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Procurement disciplines to ensure effective integration of static equipment requirements.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Support constructability reviews, value engineering studies, and cost optimization initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability workshops, and technical meetings with clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Monitor engineering progress and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and supervision to a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
- Interface effectively with clients, licensors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent, from an accredited university; or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- ADNOC & Offshore project experience is required.
- PMC experiences are preferrable.
- Experience in FEED & EPC Phases is required.
- Strong knowledge of international standards and codes including ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 620, API 661, API 660, TEMA, and NACE requirements.
- Experience in technical bid evaluations, vendor management, and fabrication oversight for static equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural project environments.
