Tomra is hiring a Statistician for Geospatial Forecasting in a full time onsite role in St Leonards, NSW. You will build geospatial and financial models to forecast site profitability across Pacific markets, guide site planning and network optimization, and assess population density, mobility, and socioeconomic indicators while governing geospatial mapping standards. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, economics or a related field with proven multivariate modeling experience; proficiency with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS), data visualization, and strong stakeholder communication; a track record turning complex data into strategic recommendations; familiarity with Pacific market dynamics and data governance. TOMRA Collection Australia are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Statistician - Geospatial Forecasting to play a key role in guiding strategic business decisions across the Pacific region.
In this role, you’ll leverage geospatial and volume data to support site planning and optimisation, assess profitability, and ensure our network coverage aligns with service delivery goals.
With a strong foundation in data modelling and statistical analysis, you’ll evaluate key variables such as population density, socioeconomic indicators, drive-time accessibility, and competitive landscape. You’ll also lead the governance of geospatial mapping standards across TCA, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all mapping activities.
