Google is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager for YouTube Shopping in Dubai, a full time onsite role requiring 7+ years in business development or partnerships, with 5+ years directly managing partnerships, and fluency in English and Arabic (Turkish a plus). You will build and scale an affiliate program, recruit merchants, negotiate agreements, and drive engagement while working closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Strategy to shape roadmaps and go to market plans. The ideal candidate has experience with brands, retailers, and affiliate networks, a proven ability to manage complex partnerships and communicate with C level executives, and an entrepreneurial, detail oriented mindset; MBA preferred. YouTube shopping is a nascent effort inside YouTube that aims to make YouTube a shoptainment destination where viewers come to be inspired about products from their favorite creators, brands and merchants. YouTube is ideally positioned to be a shopping destination given all the existing user intent we see in searches/videos watched, the engagement we have from creators for features like selling merchandise and the inbound interest we have from merchants.
In this role, you will be a critical part of building an affiliate program for YouTube Shopping that enables creators to earn commissions from merchants for sales they drive. Specifically, you will be in charge of recruiting merchants to our affiliate program and working on initiatives to drive their engagement.You will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for us to achieve our goals via partnerships and set partnership strategy. You will negotiate agreements, lead first-of-a kind partnership programs, and manage complex partnerships. You will need to work closely with cross-functional teams within YouTube and Google (Legal, Content Partnerships, Strategy, Google Shopping etc.).
