Job Description

Join a highly impactful team as a Strategy Analyst (Storytelling) in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, retail insight, and visual storytelling. The core job is turning complex commercial analysis into clear, structured, visually appealing narratives that are executive ready. You will have the opportunity to leave a lasting imprint on the business and influence our success.

What does the role involve?   

  • Develop polished, board-ready presentations and documents, featuring executive briefing notes, structured logic, and visually impactful layouts.
  • Translate complex datasets from multiple sources, financial models, and analyses into actionable insights, risks and opportunities to executive leaders.
  • Design process maps, frameworks, timelines, decision trees, and conceptual diagrams to visualise information clearly.
  • Apply consulting best practice frameworks using problem statements, hypothesis-led thinking, evaluation of options, implications, and recommendations to optimise commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, strategy, and operational stakeholders to provide financial support on business strategy and ensure messaging is tailored and effective for CFO, CEO, and Board-level communications.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience within a commercial finance, consulting, business analysis environment or similar highly regarded.
  • Background in Big 4, strategy consulting, internal strategy, or PMO highly regarded.
  • Proven demonstrated experience of financial planning and analysis.
  • Proven organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure (independently without supervision and in a team environment).
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate to executive board stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in utilising various reporting tools to analyse data- such as Excel, Think-Cell, Power Bi or Tableau.

Remuneration:

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $143,400 - $163,500 including Superannuation.
