Qantas is seeking a Strategy Associate for a permanent onsite role in Mascot Sydney to develop insights for the Group Leadership Team and Board, shaping strategy across Qantas Airways, Jetstar Group and Qantas Loyalty. You’ll own complex analyses on topics like international growth, profit optimization, capital efficiency and tech enabled transformation, collaborating with senior stakeholders and using AI tools to lift quality. Ideal candidates have 3+ years at top tier strategy firms or in house corporate strategy, a structured, results driven mindset, advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint and strong communication and relationship building, with airline or transportation exposure desirable but not essential. As a Strategy Associate, you will be responsible for driving key modules on Group strategy projects under the direction of a manager in collaboration with senior stakeholders. You will own and drive complex, detailed analysis and recommendations development on topics that are unique in nature and have high-value and high-impact outcomes for the Qantas Group. Strategy projects are generally initiated internally or at the direction of the Board, Exco, Group CEO or Group CFO. Examples of project topics may include international growth and expansion, profit optimisation, capital efficiency and effectiveness, and technology and AI enabled transformation.
As an Associate you will also be responsible for driving the creation of content, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships and collaboratively developing solutions that assist senior management in making significant strategic decisions. To be successful in this role you will be expected to use the traditional strategy toolkit, as well as using AI platforms to uplift efficiency and quality of insights and outputs.
