imec in Eindhoven is offering a student internship to explore solid-state membrane filters for an artificial kidney. You will conduct research on reusable, scalable building blocks for artificial organs, perform hands-on filtration experiments including permeability testing and sieving, and interpret data to support filter technology improvements. You’ll gain practical lab experience at the High Tech Campus, collaborate with groups like UMCU and imec BE, and develop skills in MEMS, microfluidics, and mass transport across membranes. Ideal candidates are master’s students in nano, materials or chemical engineering or membrane technology, independent and hands-on, fluent in English, available for at least 6 months (30 credit points) and eligible for a Netherlands internship.
