As part of the Summer 2026 internship season, we are seeking electrical engineering interns to join various divisions, including the Buildings, Transportation, Energy & Resources and Infrastructure teams. 

During the selection process, you will have the opportunity to meet with our teams to identify the types of projects that best match your interests and career aspirations. 

  • The Buildings team designs high-quality structures and is involved in all stages of projects, from planning to construction. It stands out for its innovative engineering solutions and expertise in high-performance projects across Canada. 

  • The Energy & Resources team designs and modernizes energy and industrial infrastructures, including electrical networks, power plants, and production facilities. The team contributes to the development of sustainable, efficient solutions tailored to clients’ needs and supports the entire project lifecycle, from planning to commissioning. 

  • The Transportation team delivers a wide range of projects in both urban and rural settings, including the planning, design, and reconstruction of road infrastructure. It adopts a sustainable approach that integrates all modes of transportation to improve mobility and safety. 

  • The Infrastructure team supports municipalities and developers in the design, assessment, and improvement of essential networks (drinking water, wastewater, drainage). It provides solutions tailored to local needs while meeting schedules and budget constraints. 

Job Description

Main Responsibilities 

As a electrical engineering intern at CIMA+, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to projects within your host team. Depending on the department (Buildings, Energy & Resources, Transportation, Infrastructure, etc.), your responsibilities may include: 

  • Participate in the design of electrical systems: plans, diagrams, single-line diagrams, wiring, lighting, low- and medium-voltage networks, and specifications. 

  • Perform electrical calculations and analyses: load calculations, short-circuit analysis, protection and selectivity studies, and sizing of equipment and conduits. 

  • Contribute to modeling and updating drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, etc. 

  • Prepare plans, drawings, and calculations based on specifications provided by the client or defined by CIMA+. 

Qualifications

Profile  

  • Currently registered in Electrical Engineering Undergraduate degree 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
