NZSki is hiring professional Summer Event Drivers to join the Casual Summer Crew in Queenstown, driving for weddings, concerts, conferences and private functions. You are the guest’s first and last impression, delivering safe, polished, host-on-wheels service for evenings and weekends with flexible availability. Key requirements include a valid New Zealand Class 2 license, a current P endorsement, strong communication and local road knowledge, and the ability to work legally in NZ for the summer. While the snow has melted, the action hasn't stopped. We are looking for professional, person-centered drivers to join our Casual Summer Crew. This isn't about mountain passes and snow chains; it’s about being the heartbeat of Queenstown’s summer events—from stunning weddings and high-profile conferences to massive concerts and festivals.
If you have a passion for hospitality and a Class 2 license with a P endorsement, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
• As part of our summer event transport team, you’ll be the first and last impression for guests attending premier events across the region.
• The Work: Driving for weddings, concerts, corporate conferences, and private functions.
• The Hours: Primarily evenings and weekends. We are open to any availability—whether you want one shift a week or to pick up as much as possible.
• The Vibe: Professional, polished, and guest-focused. You’re not just a driver; you’re a host on wheels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe, smooth, and professional transport for event guests and VIPs.
• Deliver friendly, engaging service and local insights (and maybe a curated playlist for a wedding party!).
• Maintain a pristine vehicle interior—first impressions are everything at a wedding or gala.
• Conduct pre-trip safety checks and end-of-day fueling/cleaning.
• Manage guest boarding, ticket checking, or manifest lists efficiently.
• Maintain clear communication with event dispatchers and coordinators.
About You
• You’re a "people person" who stays calm under pressure and takes pride in your driving standards. You understand that summer event work requires flexibility and a "can-do" attitude.
• Professionalism: You’re comfortable interacting with everyone from festival-goers to corporate executives.
• Reliability: You’re punctual and prepared for evening/weekend shifts.
• Fitness: A reasonable level of fitness is required for loading luggage or event equipment when needed.
Skills & Qualifications
• Mandatory: A valid New Zealand Class 2 License.
• Mandatory: A current P (Passenger) Endorsement.
• Excellent communication skills and a deep knowledge of the Queenstown/Otago road network.
• Ability to work legally in New Zealand for the duration of the summer season.
