Powerco is offering seven summer student roles in the Electricity team, mainly based in New Plymouth with opportunities in Wellington and Tauranga, aimed at Year 12 or 13 students, recent high school leavers, or first year university or polytechnic students seeking practical experience. You’ll work on finding and scanning electrical plans, improving records, QA and destroying old files after digitisation, reviewing SCADA displays, and updating GIS connectivity data. Roles are paid, with a Christmas shutdown, and a clear pathway into energy, engineering or design. We’ve got seven summer student roles – yes SEVEN - available in our Electricity team, helping us get on top of a bunch of important tasks that we just haven’t had time to crack during the year.
These positions will mainly be based in New Plymouth but we do have some roles in Wellington and Tauranga. We're particularly interested to hear from students with links to these locations.
