EBC is hiring a Building Superintendent for all locations with continuous recruitment. Working under the project manager, the on site superintendent leads a construction team, ensures the work on site runs smoothly, correctly interprets plans to meet the schedule, informs the project manager about subcontractor performance, ensures quality logs, enforces health and safety policies, participates in site meetings and maintains the log sheet of work and quantities. The ideal candidate has about 15 years of construction experience; a technical civil engineering diploma is an asset; solid knowledge of construction laws, equipment, execution standards and methods; strong planning, quick decision making, a motivating unifying leadership style, and good physical resilience. Under the project manager’s supervision, the superintendent leads a work team and ensures the good running of work on site.
Responsibilities
- managing all activities related to the execution of construction work;
- correctly interpret plans and specifications to ensure compliance with the schedule;
- informing the project manger with the subcontractor’s performance;
- ensure the quality log work performed;
- ensure the implementation and enforcement of the health and safety policies at work;
- participating in site meetings;
- completing the log sheet of the work and quantities.
Conditions
Requirements
- 15 years experience in a construction trade;
- having a technical diploma in civil engineering is an asset;
- knowledge of the laws of construction;
- having a good knowledge of: equipment, execution standards, work methods.

- being in good physical ability and resistance to stress.
