Teck Resources Limited invites applications for the role of Superintendent, Integrated Environmental Programs at Trail Operations in Trail, BC. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to the Manager, Environment and leads a team of environmental professionals to design and execute strategies across air emissions, water management, remediation of historical impacts, biodiversity, aquatic monitoring, and land stewardship in collaboration with local communities, Indigenous representatives, and government agencies. You will manage multimillion‑dollar budgets, advance groundwater remediation, oversee the Wide Area Remediation Plan and LCEMP, contribute to the AEMP, and drive risk reduction for SO2 and ambient lead exposure while continually improving safety and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates have 10‑15 years in heavy industry environmental leadership, a science or engineering degree, strong project management and communications skills, and a track record with regulatory submissions. Pay range is $135,000 to $185,000; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with an inclusive process. Reporting to the Manager, Environment, the Superintendent Integrated Environmental Programs is accountable for leading a team of environmental professionals and working collaboratively across a complex industrial site to develop and drive implementation of environmental strategies for Trail Operations towards continuous improvement. The scope includes air emission reduction strategies, risk reduction water management programs, managing historical on-site and off-site environmental impacts through remediation programs, biodiversity management, aquatic effects monitoring, and supporting work involving Teck’s land holdings in the West Kootenays. Developing and maintaining relations with the local community, Indigenous representatives, and provincial and federal government agencies is also an important element of this role.
Pay Range: $135,000 – $185,000
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
