Position Summary
The Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer IV is responsible for ensuring supplier materials, processes, and finished products meet company quality standards. This role performs advanced inspections, audits, root cause identification, corrective action review and acceptance, and data analysis while driving supplier performance improvements and long-term quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced inspections, audits, root cause identification, corrective action review and acceptance, and evaluations of supplier materials and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Analyze quality data and performance trends to identify risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate incoming materials and components through testing and assessments to detect quality issues early
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve supplier scorecards to track performance metrics (quality, delivery, responsiveness)
  • Lead supplier corrective actions (CAPA), including root cause analysis, containment, and preventive measures
  • Monitor and verify effectiveness of supplier corrective actions and drive accountability
  • Partner with suppliers to improve performance through coaching, mentoring, and training initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive controls

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or related field
  • Strong experience with:
    • Supplier audits (process, system, and product)
    • Root cause analysis methods (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
    • Statistical analysis and quality tools
  • Demonstrated ability to influence suppliers and drive performance improvements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $119,400 - 149,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
