Motul is hiring a Supply Chain Manager for an onsite, permanent role in Houston, Texas. You will lead the supply chain department, align it with strategic goals, negotiate carrier contracts and 3PL agreements, manage import strategies and drop ship models, define warehouse strategy, and run supplier risk assessments while developing KPIs to cut costs and shorten lead times. You’ll oversee inventory accuracy, slow movers reporting, obsolete product disposal, and planning and forecasting with budget responsibility. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Supply Chain or related field, 10+ years in sales operations and supply chain, SAP, Power BI, and Asana experience, plus knowledge of international trade and customs. Start date 01 July 2026; no remote work. Job description

This pivotal role will be leading, directing, managing, and planning the department of Supply Chain. Continuously review all levels of supply chain to insure alignment with strategic business goals.
Optimizes supply chain strategy to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize expenditures and lead times.

(1)   Service Excellence

·        Strategically evaluates vendor contracts with carriers, negotiating prices and terms conditions,

·        Monitors standard of quality control of logistics providers carriers and controls the forecasted costs related to their services,

·        Negotiates the 3 PL (logistics partner) contract in coordination with the General Manager and HQ, evaluates the performance and follow up and audits all logistics providers, 

·        Manages and optimizes the importation strategy and drop ship model,

·        Defines and implements relevant warehouse strategy,

·        Conducts supply and supplier risk assessments,

·        Evaluates opportunities and manage partnerships with CMOs,

·        Develops KPIs for the Department and monitors performance to provide improvement objectives and streamline supplies, internally and externally.

 

(2)   Inventory

·        Monitors inventory for optimal accuracy and implements systems for standardized reports          

·        Prepares monthly report on “Slow Movers”, 

·        Ensures proper disposal of any obsolete products, and minimizes quality issues.

 

(3)   Planning and Forecasting

·        Continuously improves demand forecasting and supply chain planning,

·        Defines, improves and update SOPs and ensures adhesion from all stakeholders,

·        Creates and manages the annual department budget.

Profile

Education / Qualification:    

(1) Masters’ Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or equivalent

Experience needed:           

(1) +10 years’ experience in sales operations and supply chain with knowledge of demand and inventory management concepts, inventory replenishment and principles of international trade, customs related operations, warehousing and domestics distribution,

 

IT & Applications Knowledge:
