Mō te tūranga | About the Role

We’re excited to introduce a newly created Support Coordinator role supporting the Hōhepa Farm community in Halswell!

This role brings together structured medication support with the coordination of meaningful activities across the houses on the farm. The successful applicant will provide daytime and lunchtime medication support for one person, while also working closely with both the LEAP (day service) and Residential teams to create engaging, purposeful opportunities that promote wellbeing, participation, and social connection within the farm community.

The people we support at Hōhepa Farm have a wide range of interests and support needs, with a strong emphasis on routine, meaningful engagement, and connection to the land and community. Many enjoy farm‑based tasks, outdoor work, creative activities, music, shared meals, and spending time with others.

Consistency, clear communication, and respectful relationship‑building are key in this role. Some individuals require structured support with daily routines, emotional regulation, and medication administration. We’re looking for someone who takes the time to understand each person’s strengths, preferences, and goals—and who is committed to supporting autonomy, dignity, and participation in a way that truly fits each individual.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.50 and $29.10 per hour.

Nga haora kua tohua | Rostered hours:

  • Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm

Total Hours per fortnight: 70
