Aruma is hiring full-time onsite Support Workers in Townsville to empower people with disabilities and youth through person-centred, trauma-informed care and community participation. Essential: Certificate IV in Disability or Child Youth & Family Intervention or willingness to obtain, current First Aid/CPR, valid driver’s licence and an NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain. About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored, person-centred support. Whether it’s daily living assistance, emotional guidance, or community engagement, your work will help create a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Key Responsibilities

  •         Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities
  •        Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development
  •         Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
  •         Support community participation and recreational activities
  •         Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
  •         Advocate for customer rights and promote independence
  •         Create safe, trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs

 What you'll need

  •  Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
  •  Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient
  •  Excellent communication and teamwork skills
