As the Surface Land Administration Student, you will be performing day-to-day activities and projects that will provide the development and understanding of the following skill sets: planning and organizing, systems, processes and general job knowledge.   • Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday) 
  • Term lengths: 8 months or 12 months
  • Term start: May 2027

Key Accountabilities:

  • Help facilitate abandonment and reclamation projects and understand activities related to the program
  • Ensure data integrity/maintenance of surface files
  • Assist with capital projects and understand the role of surface land in acquiring wells and facilities
  • Assist with procedure review and updating
  • Support the third-party process and understand liability and regulations associated to granting consent
  • Ad-hoc projects as required 

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Currently enrolled in the Energy Asset Management Program or a related post-secondary education program
  • Experience with Accumap, Abadata, and provincial databases
  • General knowledge of the surface lifecycle
  • General knowledge of the Acts and Directives
