CERN seeks a Sustainability Reporting & Communications Project Officer to lead the 2025-2026 Sustainability Report and help shape CERNs sustainability strategy. The role blends GRI based reporting with multi‑workstream management and creating content for web channels, coordinating with stakeholders and consultants. You will help develop an e learning module and monitor CSRD ESRS developments to align with standards. Strong writing, governance and stakeholder engagement are essential; fluent English or French with willingness to learn the other language is expected. Eligibility: CERN Member or Associate Member State nationals with a Master’s (2–6 years) or PhD (up to 3 years). Apply by 21 July 2026 onsite in Geneva for a 24 month contract with extension possible.

Working in the Sustainability Office within the Organisational Support & Improvement team, the Sustainability Reporting & Communications Project Officer will work closely with a broad network of internal stakeholders, as well as external consultants, in delivering the Sustainability Reporting Project workstream.
You will also contribute to the development of CERN's Sustainability Strategy, with dedicated actions to raise awareness CERN-wide about sustainability, for example through targeted campaigns and communications that support cultural change around sustainability.
Through these activities, you will develop hands-on experience in sustainability strategy creation, implementation and reporting within a dynamic, high-profile, international scientific and technical environment.
