North Melbourne Outdoor Pool is a seasonal, family-friendly outdoor facility featuring three pools in the heart of North Melbourne. It is known for its strong community connections and welcoming environment for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Carlton Baths offers exceptional customer service and engaging programs for all ages and abilities. With two outdoor pools and a strong focus on water safety, it's a popular destination for local families.
Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre is a year-round facility featuring a 25-metre indoor pool, a purpose-built learn-to-swim pool, three full-sized sports courts, and a modern gym. Together, these centres provide a fun, inclusive environment where people can build confidence, develop lifelong swimming skills, and stay active.
About the role
As a Swim Teacher, you will be developing and delivering lesson plans that promote swimming skill building in school aged children, combining stroke development with water safety and enhancing the overall confidence and ability of your students.
This is a Casual role with an hourly rate up to $33.37 per hour (for fully qualified swim teacher) + super & Y Benefits.
Swim teachers in training will be paid up to $31.18 per hour until fully qualified.
We are currently seeking swim teachers to work across our 3 City of Melbourne sites - Carlton Baths , North Melbourne Recreation Centre and Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
About you
You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far as a Swim Teacher!
