Aspen Medical is hiring a Tactical Combat Medical Instructor for a full-time onsite position in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires experience equivalent to a military NCO, at least two years instructional work in a military medical setting, and operational experience, with client facing skills and strong ethics. You will support planning, delivery, and recovery of courses, assist with logistics and course design, participate in assessments, and help ensure regulatory and quality-system compliance. Essential: bachelor’s degree, four years post qualification, two years instructional experience, registration with a pre-hospital body, curriculum design, English fluency, and MS Office.   • The TCMI function, requires as a minimum, experience equivalent to a military enlisted non-commissioned officer and demonstrable experience in a medical training team in an equivalent military medical environment. The TCMI role is to assist on the whole life delivery of all elements of the courses detailed in the contract and in close collaboration with the client. Therefore, the TCMI must have a minimum of two years instructional experience within a military medicine setting and must have military operational experience.
  • The TCMI role will be client facing with an emphasis on high personal and professional values based upon a thorough knowledge of the contract, the working environment and culture to ensure the highest standards are maintained within the Team throughout the lifetime of the contract.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assume the role of Tactical Combat Medical Instructor on any course described in the contract and in close collaboration with the client.
  • Assist the Senior Medical Instructor on all preparatory work to facilitate any course described in the contract and in close collaboration with the client.
  • Assist the Senior Medical Instructor on all recovery work to facilitate the closure of any course described in the contract and in close collaboration with the client.
  • Assist the Logistics Manager on all logistic requirements to facilitate the whole life delivery of any course described in the contract and in the day-to-day management of the training facility and its equipment.
  • Assist when directed, the SME Medical Instructor and SAT SME in on any course design and subsequent development described in the contract and in close collaboration with the client.
  • Assist the training team to co-ordinate the whole life delivery of any course described in the contract and in close collaboration with the client.
  • Assist with written and verbal assessments when directed on any course described in the contract and in close collaboration with the SAT SME and the client.
  • Be prepared to assist with on any duties or tasks required in order to successfully deliver the contract to the satisfaction of the client.

    Administration 

  • Strictly comply with the Company’s Work Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct. 
  • Understand and ensure correct implementation of systems used by the organization (e.g., Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Data Management System (DMS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), etc.).

    Quality Management

  • Involvement in the development, review, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Quality Management System and other related compliance, assurance, and quality improvement activities of the organization.

    Regulatory Requirements

  • Responsible to ensure full compliance with the applicable laws and regulations required by related governmental agencies, authorities, and organization both local and international e.g., MOHRE, DOH, JCIA, etc.
  • Promote ethical behaviour and alignment with Aspen Medical’s Social Purpose and B Corp principles. 
Essential 
  • Bachelor’s degree in any accredited university.
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience post qualification.
  • Registered with the relevant pre-hospital body of home jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrable instructional / platform experience of at least (2) two years.
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in course curriculum and system design.
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in Systems Approach to Learning.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills (in English).
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
