Job Purpose

The Talent Advisor is accountable to implement recruitment strategies and execute recruitment activities across Canada. He/She focuses on building and maintaining partnerships at colleges, universities and trade schools, specifically focusing on candidates for our sales internships, trainee and apprenticeship programs. This position will be a hybrid role, working from home, attending live events, and working at the branch once per week.

 

What you will do...

    • Filling Requisitions as needed by the business.
    • Attend campus career fairs, interact with students and promote the Herc Rentals brand.
    • Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
    • Assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
    • Completing paperwork for new hires.
    • Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
    • Contact college, university and technical schools to provide informative materials about Herc programs.
    • Build and maintain good relationships with educational institutions.
    • Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
    • Report on recruiting metrics after every career event, including number of candidates interviewed and hired.
    • Promote Herc’s reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and compliance with employment regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with educational institutions and military bases.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools, such as SuccessFactors.
  • Ability to analyze recruitment metrics and data to make informed decisions and improve the recruitment process.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Requirements

  • Proven 3 years’ work experience as a full-cycle recruiter. Industry experience would be considered an asset.
  • Solid ability to conduct interviews at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to source candidates through databases and social media.
  • Ability to multi-task and work constructively under high pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
