Here at Auckland Council, our leisure centres play a key role in achieving our goal of get Auckland the most active city in the world. And right now, we're looking for a Team Member to join our Customer Support team at Birkenhead Pool and Leisure Centre.


 
This role will see you working with community groups across the Auckland region. You will help us deliver an exciting customer service to our community groups.

In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors during busy periods
  • Support a large, diverse fitness and aquatic membership base with enrolment and retention 
  • Completing day-to-day administration tasks and cash handling
  • Understanding all centre operations and assisting with relevant tasks such as bookings and appointments

 
This is a permanent part-time position, 8 hours per week – Sunday (8am – 4.30pm).

You are eager to support a community Pools & Leisure facility and be ready to step into a front-line customer service role.

Moreover, you have:

 

  • Mature and responsible approach to working with children
  • A flexible response and be able to use your initiative to problem solve
  • An enthusiastic team‑player approach and a positive attitude with infectious energy
  • A commitment providing your customers with an exceptional experience
  • An understanding about health and safety
  • A commitment to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work

 

You will need a First Aid Certificate; however, we will help you obtain one if you do not already have it.
