Bombardier is seeking a Technical Learning Advisor in Wichita, KS, full-time and onsite to design, deliver and coach technical learning activities within a high caliber aircraft manufacturing setting. You will assess skills, provide coaching through simulated environments, and contribute to problem solving discussions on human performance. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in aircraft assembly, 0-2 years in learning activities, a technical degree or aircraft certifications, and credibility in a unionized environment. Strong listening and communication, relationship building, influencing without authority, Lean or continuous improvement experience, self-direction, and MS Office proficiency are essential. What are your contributions to the team?
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Rules
- Deliver technical skills assessment and propose appropriate learning activities
- Provide technical coaching using multiple processes
- Execute specific skills development using simulators
- Provide training on technical coaching
- Deliver effective learning interventions, such as coaching, classroom training, etc
- Participate in problem solving discussions on human performance issues
- Assist Technical Learning Agents with key tasks as needed
How to thrive in this role?
- You typically have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting related to aircraft assembly in a hands-on technical role
- You typically have a minimum of 0 -2 years of experience involved with learning activities (i.e., coaching and / or technical training)
- You have a technical degree and /or aircraft related certifications and licenses and / or equivalent experience in coaching / facilitator training
- You have a high level of technical competency and credibility
- You have experience working in a unionized environment
- You have excellent relational competencies, with capacity to listen and communicate well (written and spoken)
- You have the ability to build solid relationships based on mutual trust
- You have the ability to influence without authority and develop results oriented action plans
- You are a team player
- You have experience in Lean and / or continuous improvement concepts
- You are motivated and self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- You have working knowledge of MS Office Suite or other software databases
