Jetstar is seeking a Technical Officer - Receipt Compliance in Melbourne at the Central Distribution Centre. This full time permanent role protects the safety and reliability of Jetstar’s supply chain by ensuring compliant receipt of aviation rotable components, verifying entry into inventory, and managing end to end receipt activities within KPI timeframes. You will resolve technical queries, identify suspected unapproved parts, execute TRAX transactions, review repair and overhaul documentation for CASR Parts 21 and 42, validate ARC and regulatory records, update Engineering Controls in TRAX, segregate non compliant parts, and raise discrepancy reports while supporting team development. The ideal candidate holds a Certificate IV or higher in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or related field, at least 4 years’ engineering experience, TRAX familiarity, CASR knowledge, and strong planning and communication skills. Flexibility to work 4 on 4 off or Mon Fri; apply by 4 February 2026.

As the Technical Officer - Receipt Compliance, you will

  • Ensure safety, integrity, and reliability of Jetstar Airways’ supply chain through compliant receipt of aviation rotable components
  • Verify compliance of all components entering inventory to support continued safe fleet operation
  • Manage end-to-end receipt compliance activities within agreed KPI timeframes
  • Resolve technical queries and identify Suspect Unapproved Parts (SUP)
  • Execute all required transactions in JQ Maintenance Information System (TRAX)
  • Review repair and overhaul documentation for compliance with CASR Part 21, CASR Part 42, manufacturer data, and the MPD
  • Validate Authorised Release Certificates (ARC), work reports, and regulatory records
  • Ensure Engineering Controls (e.g. VSBs, ADs) are correctly assessed and updated in TRAX
  • Segregate, document, and report non-compliant or suspect parts
  • Raise discrepancy reports to maintain regulatory and quality integrity
  • Provide supervisory support, including technical development of staff, manpower allocation, and workflow management within the Receipt Compliance team

We’re Looking For Someone Who has

  • Certificate IV or higher in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Aerospace, or a related discipline (highly regarded).
  • Recognised Aircraft Trade qualification and/or Minimum 4 years of engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with TRAX or equivalent MIS (highly desirable).
  • In-depth knowledge of CASR Part 21, CASR Part 42 and related civil aviation compliance requirements.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills
  • Strong technical data interpretation skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to change
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with Qantas Group policies
  • Flexibility to work either a 4 on, 4 off shift roster or a Monday–Friday day shift roster, as required by operational needs.
