Qantas is seeking a hands-on Simulator Maintenance Technical Officer to operate, repair and calibrate complex mechanical and hydraulic systems on full flight simulators at the Melbourne Simulator Training Facility. This permanent full-time role requires an Associate Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, plus simulator maintenance experience and the ability to service motion systems, troubleshoot software and utilities, and maintain visual and projector systems, while working safely in a 24 hour rotating shift. As the Simulator Maintenance Technical Officer, you will operate, repair, overhaul, modify, test and / or calibrate any complex mechanical and hydraulic systems on Simulators and / or Simulator support equipment.
This role will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance on all full flight simulators and flight training devices.
