Syntegon Packaging Solutions B.V., located in Weert, is part of the Syntegon Group. In Weert we are Center of Competence for vertical form, fill and seal machines within the Syntegon Group. Here we develop and produce technologies for a wide range of food and non-food products, including stand-alone machines and system solutions with various process steps from weighing and dosing to vertical bagging, cartoning, case packing, and palletizing.

In this central position, you will be responsible for coordinating staffing interventions with qualified service technicians and providing technical consultation. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering and the Factory to ensure optimal utilization and support for our service engineers

  • You will coordinate the assignment of qualified service technicians, either from our service team or in cooperation with the factory or third-party partners, ensuring that all assigned resources possess the necessary skills for each job.
  • In this role, you will support briefings upon request and provide engineers with all required technical documentation to enable successful completion of their tasks.
  • Additionally, you will act as a technical consultant for service colleagues when support is needed and take on detailed planning responsibilities where required.
  • You will optimize engineers’ utilization by identifying potential over- or underutilization early and collaborating with the Centers of Competence (CoCs) to minimize gaps and peaks
  • Moreover, you will organize internal and external training sessions in alignment with the team lead to support the professional development of our engineers.
  • You will also arrange visas, documentation, and travel bookings for engineers.
  • Finally, you will support customers via the helpline by identifying, analyzing, and resolving reported breakdowns and undefined machine errors, as well as answering machine-related technical questions.

Qualifications

  • Technical background in either electrical or mechanical engineering; experience as a service technician is considered an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and dynamics involved in coordinating a traveling workforce, combined with empathy for engineers on the road.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (especially Excel for schedules and utilization dashboards).
  • Structured and organized working style, combining accuracy with reliable follow-through.
  • Robust planning and organizational abilities to balance priorities and respond confidently to short-notice changes.
  • Familiarity with CMMS/Field Service Management solutions (e.g., SAP FSM) and capacity-planning concepts.
  • Fluency in business English; knowledge of any additional European language is an advantage.
