We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to scale our project delivery & reporting capabilities. The TPM will work alongside technologists and be focused on detailed project organization for a broad range of technology projects. Jump Trading values proactive and clear communication to drive progress on the projects that will deliver the greatest business value. The TPM will own project status meetings and build trusted relationships with leaders across the firm. You’ll need to be comfortable learning new concepts. We are looking for a natural connector who is approachable and who has experience leveraging those skills to progress work forward in a dynamic environment.
What You'll Do:
Organize and lead project meetings – own agendas, key follow ups and be able to hold peers accountable to the work
Maintain project plans and delivery dates for required projects
Create proactive communications regarding project progress for various levels of firm visibility (C-suite, technology leadership, the broader project team)
Collaborate with groups across the firm to both provide and receive information required to keep projects on track
Work with external vendors, when required, to ensure their progress towards delivering on Jump Trading project initiatives
Build relationships to become a trusted go-to for general project questions that others are not sure how to tackle
Clearing project roadblocks, which are oftentimes unknown until the work gets going. Be willing to roll up your sleeves to take on work that no department obviously owns and "figure it out"
Help to build workflows that can be leveraged across the firm for high priority initiatives
Be able to evolve processes and look for automation opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
Skills You'll Need:
A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
Experience with Asana is a plus
8+ years’ experience coordinating work for cross functional teams (departmental and hierarchical)
Experience with project documentation (agendas, notes) and meeting management
Vendor/client management experience is preferred
Ability to hold peers accountable in a constructive and professional manner
Strong sense of curiosity and the ability to learn new topics quickly
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on verbal – must be comfortable on the phone and in person
Experience with project management software is a plus: JIRA, GitHub
Prior experience in a role requiring adherence to a high level of professionalism
