You’ll manage decontamination through to issuing sterile instruments across four CSS locations, with rotating shifts seven days a week once Workplace Competencies are achieved. The Department
The Central Sterilising Service (CSS) is an integral part of Alfred Health, providing a service to The Main Alfred Hospital Operating Suite, Tha Alfred Centre and Sandringham Hospital Operating Suite and also to the wards and other departments.

The Role
Instrument technicians employed within the SSD are responsible for the processing, from decontamination through to issue, of sterile instruments and equipment used in all areas of all campuses of Alfred Health. Staff are required to work rotating shifts, 7 days a week once they have completed Workplace Competencies.
