The City of Mississauga is seeking two temporary Survey Instrument Persons to support the Technical Services Section during the construction season, reporting to the Supervisor, Surveys and Inspections. The role involves contributing to day to day survey crew activities, performing construction layout, data collection and field measurements with moderate supervision, keeping field notes and contractor payment logs, and assisting in producing as constructed data for audits and payments. Essential qualifications include a post secondary Civil Engineering Technology or Survey Technology credential, with C Tech or CET through OACETT or SURV designation preferred, plus experience with total stations, GPS and other field equipment, strong math and ability to read drawings, and solid communication skills. Must hold a valid Ontario G license with a clean driving record, be able to lift up to 25 lbs, and wear CSA green patch boots. Hourly rate $30.36, 40 hours, Mavis Yard.
