The Opportunity

 

Join our team and take your sales career to new heights! We are seeking a self-motivated and results-oriented Territory Manager to join our successful team in the Bay of Plenty/Coromandel Region.

 

As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, distribution, and growth in your designated territory.

A day in the life…

 

In this role you will thrive on working autonomously to deliver results and continually seeks out new business opportunities. Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and prospect new customers, build strong relationships, and convert leads into sales opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients and prospects to understand their needs, present product offerings, and negotiate sales agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful sales outcomes. 
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to management and clients as required.

Travel Requirements

 

You will be responsible for visiting clients, prospects, and other stakeholders to build relationships and drive sales growth.

  • The Territory Manager role requires extensive travel including 1 overnight per month stay in Whitianga or Whangamata.
  • You will be expected to plan and manage your travel schedule efficiently to maximize productivity and meet sales targets.
  • Attending industry conferences and participating in sales meetings including the Regional Sales Meeting once a quarter.
  • This position requires a valid Full Driver’s License

 

 

What will make you successful

 

As a brand ambassador for our market leading portfolio of products, we are looking for:

  • Sales experience in territory sales or field sales ideally in FMCG or Grocery
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. 
  • Outgoing, approachable, and passionate about sales, as you manage the business relationships.
  • Proficient with data, Power BI, Microsoft applications, and has an understanding on how to use Co-Pilot

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
