In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team delivering day to day motorway operations through the use of TMC operational systems to ensure safe and efficient movement of customers and adherence to standards and procedures.
This role will see you manage the operations of designated motorways, monitor the motorway and adjacent network, respond to unplanned incidents, provide clear and concise information to field resources and stakeholders, and contribute to incident planning, operational procedures and continuous training within a 24/7 operations environment.
You will coordinate the management of motorway operations including monitoring, incident response and system based traffic management actions in a highly complex and technical 24/7 operating environment requiring proactive risk management and timely incident response.

About you
Your knowledge and understanding of traffic management, motorway operations and computer based systems, along with demonstrated operational judgement and communication capability formed across traffic operations, control room or network management environments will see you manage multiple motorways, respond effectively to incidents impacting the network, and minimise congestion impacts to lead to safe, efficient and reliable road network outcomes for customers.
You’re recognised as customer focused and collaborative, skilled at monitoring, coordinating and responding to motorway operations and incidents, experienced in working within complex, technical operations environments managing risk and supporting 24/7 service delivery.
This is a temporary fixed term role, based in Transport Management Centre (TMC) -Eveleigh. The salary for this position is a Transport Grade 7 ($121,175-$135,716) per annum plus penalties, allowances and superannuation.
