Job Summary
As a Sales Senior Associate within the Trade & Working Capital division of J.P. Morgan Payments, you will support the growth of the Central Eastern Europe trade finance franchise and play a key role in shaping our sales strategy in the region. You will work closely with a collaborative team, leveraging your skills to drive client engagement and deliver market-leading solutions, involve in preparing client research and presentations, industry analysis, and project assignments, as well as reviewing and analyzing transactional data. This role provides a unique opportunity to understand the client's assets and liabilities, trade flows, balance sheet needs, product usage, and regional/global setup. You will also contribute as the voice of the client in cross-functional partner engagement to ensure alignment with broader firm-wide interests and the clients' objectives which will help us build strong relationships and deliver impactful results for our clients and the wider community.
Job responsibilities
Support Trade & Working Capital coverage across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) Trade & Working Capital Sales team in managing a diverse portfolio of corporate and multinational clients, promoting business goals.
Partner with Trade and Working Capital Sales Managers to manage the end-to-end sales cycle.
Originate and structure new opportunities with clients across Core Trade and Structured Trade solutions.
Collaborate with Payments functional teams and coverage bankers to execute sales strategy, expand market share, and increase client engagement.
Participate in client calls and prepare responses to client requests, including term sheets and presentations.
Create deal write-ups and support internal approval processes with deal proposal packages.
Compare financing alternatives through pricing and modeling deal scenarios using the Loan Return Calculator.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, operations, compliance) to ensure seamless service delivery and implementation.
Provide support on Trade initiatives and ad hoc projects across the CEEMEA team.
Review and analyse transactional data to identify key trends, risks, pricing/billing inefficiencies.
Prepare client account plans, briefing memos and portfolio management reporting
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
Proven experience supporting Trade, Transaction Banking, and managing complex client relationships in the CEE market.
Strong knowledge of Credit and all Trade & Working Capital solutions as well as an understanding of regulatory issues/requirements
Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization, manging priorities under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Effective collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
Logical, analytical, and organized, with high attention to detail.
Strong team player with excellent negotiation, influence, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial analysis tools.
