Great Journeys New Zealand (GJNZ) operate some of New Zealand’s most iconic Tourism and Interregional commuter services experiences - the Te Huia, Northern Explorer, TranzAlpine, Coastal Pacific and Capital Connections trains.

This is a Palmerston North based role servicing the Capital Connection from Palmerston North to Wellington.

 

He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:

As a Train Attendant, you will love to travel and ensure that all customers enjoy an outstanding experience while travelling on our services. You will welcome, connect with and greet customers in a courteous, professional, and willing manner. Your daily duties will involve delivering a first-rate food and beverage service, cleaning duties, luggage handling and carrying out all cash handling and transactions in line with policies and procedures as required.

You will need a full NZ Driver’s License.

  • No two days is the same.
  • Working in a team environment to achieve the common goal of exceptional customer experience, safety and wellbeing.
  • Multitask and problem solve on the fly.
  • At the end of your shift, that is where your working day ends.
