The Role:
This role involves supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in the preparation and delivery of management accounting for the MEA Portfolio. The position plays a key role in driving business efficiency and supporting commercial decision-making by improving the quality of management information and financial forecasting. It also requires ensuring that financial processes and controls are consistently followed to maintain a strong financial management and control environment. In addition, the role includes a commitment to ongoing professional development through the pursuit of qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CMA.
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with Finance teams to assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and commercial accrual postings;
- Keep Event trackers up to date with actual spend from FinanceForce on a regular basis;
- Work with the Commercial Finance Manager and the commercial teams where required on the budgeting and forecasting process across the MEA portfolio;
- Coordinate regular budget / forecast review sessions with the commercial teams;
- Helping to calculate commission/bonus payments in accordance with individual schemes for payroll;
- Provide quality analysis were required;
- Ensuring that the DMG MEA Event policies are communicated, implemented and complied with, and a strong financial control environment is maintained;
- Carry out any reasonable project work / ad hoc task as requested;
- Attend training and development as required;
Technical and Functional Experience:
- Graduate with a 2:1 minimum degree who wishes to train for a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CMA etc)
- Interest in working in a commercial finance role
- Confidence to develop and cultivate relationships with senior business leaders that leads to open and collaborative communication
- Hands on approach
