An exciting permanent part-time Trainer and Assessor opportunity at City-Wide Building and Training Services, part of UP Education, delivering CPC30320 Cert III in Concreting to apprentices across pre-apprenticeship, school-based and workplace contexts. The role is 31.5 hours per week (three days), with AUD 80,000–85,000 base plus super and a pro-rata vehicle allowance of AUD 17,000. You will train onsite between Sydney CBD and Wollongong, with occasional overnight stays. Key duties include pre-session prep, engaging delivery, timely post-session marking, and accurate record keeping in ReadySkills, LMS and VETtrak. Job Description

• Permanent, part-time (31.5 hrs per week, 3 days a week) 
• Salary: AUD $80,000-$85,000 base + super (Full Time Equivalent) 
• Vehicle Allowance: AUD $17,000 (pro-rata) including Fuel & eTag costs

To deliver onsite training and assessment for apprentices across pre-apprenticeship, school-based, and workplace contexts. The Trainer & Assessor plays a key role in ensuring training is delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and industry relevance. The role also supports student engagement, employer communication, assessment validation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Training Delivery

• This role will require the trainer to deliver training across various locations between Sydney CBD and Wollongong. Occasional travel and overnight stay will be required (at the expense of CWBTS).
• Facilitate interactive, inclusive, and safe learning environments for CPC30320 Cert III in Concreting

Pre-Session Preparation

• Review training plans, LLN, and pre-training reviews.
• Communicate with students/employers before sessions.
• Prepare equipment, materials, and ensure environment is suitable and safe.

Post-Session Activities

• Grade assessments and return results within agreed timeframes.
• Maintain accurate records (e.g. ReadySkills, LMS, VETtrak).

Qualifications

​​​​​Skills and Experience

• Minimum certificate III trade qualification in Concreting or equivalent - Essential
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) - Essential
• Demonstrated experience in apprenticeship-based training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail, time management, and LMS/CRM proficiencies

Additional Requirements

• Valid Australian working rights & Working with Children's Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain
• Police Check and driver's license check
• Willingness to travel to training venues and worksites
• Participation in ongoing PD and compliance training
